Hi.

Welcome to my blog. Take a look around to learn more about my travels and passion for vegetarian food.

Goal check in: March

Goal check in: March

Another month has passed and it’s time for me to update my montly goals. Last month went so great, I love feeling like I’m making progress so here is an overview of how my month went.

Running:
As I mentioned in my February post, I hit my goal! I have never been a runner and I still run painfully slow but I feel so much stronger and I’ve developed endurance which was the important thing to me. I am thinking I would like to work towards running a 10k in July so I’m going to continue with my running goals.

Reading:
This month I read non-fiction. Specifically books in a true crime/ autobiographical theme. I really enjoyed my books for the month.

Laundry:
As I write this I’ve got one load on the drying rack and one in the wash so I’d say I’ve been pretty successful. I’ve been getting into a routine which thanks to the size of our washer involves laundry 3 times a week to keep up with it but it has felt manageable overall.

March Goals
Moving into March I’m continuing to focus on health. I’m getting SO close to a few important mile stones in my weight loss journey (a healthy BMI and 50 pounds down) and I want to continue to motivate myself.

Running:
Like I mention, I would really be like to be able to run a 10k. This month, I am making it my goal to be able to run the entire 5k version of the race I’m thinking about doing. I’ve been having some issues with my right foot so when I tried to do this the other day, I just couldn’t hack it. I’m going to keep at it this month and hopefully I’ll be there by April so I can start upping it to 10k.

Budgeting:
In the process of moving, we really didn’t focus much on budgeting. We have done pretty well at maintaining the money habits we developed over the summer but I’d love to refocus on keeping a written budget. This month I’m jumping back into tracking all of our purchases and keeping it in line with our outlined budget for the month. I like to use the budget template through numbers on my macbook.

Reading:
My theme for books this month is self improvement. I actually ended up reading one of my two books for the month early so I’m on track to finish. I’ll also be reading a few non theme books because I recently set up an account at our local library.

I’m so excited for this upcoming month and the things that will come with it. I’m heading to TASMANIA this weekend which I am SO excited for. I’m continuing my job hunt and working towards my weight loss goals. What are you working on this month? Are you still keeping your New Year’s resolutions?
