Australia Apartment Tour!
I’m mostly documenting this for myself, but just in case anyone wants to see it, here is our apartment! We are living in a little one bedroom place around 20 minutes North of the city center by bus. We live 5 minutes from the grocery store, shops, and bus which is basically my life dream. I love our little place! So here is the tour:
We’ll start in the living room. My favorite thing about this room is that we have 3 of the exact same canvas print of a rose on the walls, the giant vase of fake flowers in the lit up niche, and the random boxes of rose petals they left out for us. 😂In all seriousness, I love how much seating we have, the hard wood floors, having built in storage, and most importantly air conditioning (which I am gathering isn’t always a thing).
Next we’ll move onto the laundry room/ bathroom. I love this little laundry room. SO MUCH STORAGE. Coming from our last place where we had no storage, having all these cupboards makes me happy. Laundry wise we have a washer and hang dry our clothes on a rack inside or in the back “yard” on a clothesline. Our bathroom has yet another oddly lit niche (not pictured), a ceiling height mirror that starts at your waist, and a crazy space age sink that sprays water in ways that make no sense.
Moving on to the kitchen, we’ve got this little narrow walkway/ breakfast nook. I love the dish storage about the counter. The kitchen is pretty small, but honestly they fit a lot into the space so it isn’t too bad (as long as I have my handy stool so I can reach the cupboards). I am missing my beloved instant pot but making do just fine.
Finally our bedroom. I love the MASSIVE window, the floor length mirror, and all the storage we have. We have an odd little ledge that runs almost the entire length of the room on one side that is sometimes annoying but sometimes kind of useful (it is great for storing throw pillows at night).
Overall we are so happy to be living here. It is a cute little place and we love the location. Thanks for sticking around through my little tour. More Australia posts to come!
